5 year ban? He made several attempts to run over the cyclist. The original charge of attempted murder was dropped and he was charged with driving dangerously and causing a collision which left his victim unconscious and severely injured. He also left the scene of the crime and was only tracked down because passers by had seen him. Ideally he shouldn't drive again and donate his road and parking space to someone less dangerous. With the roads being so busy, it's time to become more selective about who should get and retain a license. The judge thinks that his chance of re-offending is low. That's a relief!
